WELCOME
WELCOME TO SION AIRPORT IN THE HEART OF THE ALPS
Since 15 February 2016, Sion Airport has been equipped with a new GPS-based instrument approach called RNAV (RNP 0.3) on runway 25, which complements the current IGS 25 and thus increases the degree of precision. This new approach now allows Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft to perform instrument approaches. In addition, with this new approach, the MDA is reduced by almost 1,000 feet (300 meters) compared with the IGS, significantly reducing the risk of having to carry out a diversion due to the weather.
WHAT THE PILOTS NEED
You may come in using IFR or VFR procedures.
